Nathaniel BISHOP, Boston, currier, as early as 1634, own a lot at Ipswich 1638 but seems to have prefer Boston, freeman, 1645; by w Alice, d. of James MATTOCKS, had Sarah b. 20 Mar. 1635, Ruth 14 Apr 1639, Joseph 14 July 1642, Benjamin 31 May bapt. 2 June 1644, John 29 bapt. 31 Jan. 1647; beside Samuel whose d. by the more ancient copy of our rec. (for we have no original for very many years) 7 Mar 1647 is made the day of his b. by the absurdity of more recent copy; in his room (?) was b. ano. Samuel perhaps the same year.
