Marriages: In this county on the 15th inst., by Rev. E.S. DULIN, Dr. Sam’l S. LIGON to Miss Harriet C. LONG, all of this place.

Died in Carroll Co., Mo. on Nov. 24, 1856, Mrs. Elizabeth Jane LIGON, wife of Rev. Wm. C. LIGON.  She was dau. of William PROSSER who emigrated from Mason Co., Ky., to Carroll Co., Mo., in 1841.  She was born in Prince William Co., Va., Mar. 23, 1813.  Joined the Baptist Church in Mason Co., and in 1838 was married.  She was mother of eight children, only 3 now surviving.  These are boys, aged 17, 15, & 8.  (No other family data in obituary).
