EARL E. MATTOCKS

Age 73 of Tefft, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 6, 1995, at his home.  He was born April 16, 1921 in Parr, Indiana the son of Beverly MATTOCKS and Gladys DANNER.  Mr. MATTOCKS was a lifelong area resident, a crane operator for several years, and a foreman for over 18 years at Bethlehem Steel, retiring in 1980.  Veteran of U.S. Army, serving during World War II, a member of the American Legion Post #406 of Wheatfield.  On April 9, 1951 he was married to Shirley BRANNEN who survives.  Other survivors: 4 daughters, Beverly (Mrs. Don) MOTT of Reseda, Cal., Marilyn (Mrs. Don) GLIDEWELL of Great Falls, S.C., Joyce BUTCHER of San Diego Cal., Carolyn MASE of Cedar Lake, Ind.; 2 [sons,] Don MATTOCKS of Canoga Park, Cal., Steve MATTOCKS of Bad Axe, Mich.; 16 grandchildern, 15 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Carl MATTOCKS of Farmington, Conn., and Leon MATTOCKS of Ocean Park, Wash; 1 sister, Mary (Mrs. Earl) STOLLINGS of Galveston, Texas.  Preceded in eath by parents, son Tony and 2 brothers.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday April 11, at Steinke Funeral Home, KV Chapel, Sculley Square Wheatfield, Rev. Alvin SMITH officiating.  Military graveside rites by American Legion Post #406.  Friends may call Monday April 10 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Steinke Funeral Home.  Memorials to Clinical Management Home Health Care Service.
